Sauce Gardner “Lost in the sauce” merch
In 2022 I was freelancing, and was brought on by Allante Gardner of Vayner Sports to design a merch drop for Sauce Gardner of the New York Jets. I worked closely with Allante on multiple rounds of ideation to bring Sauce’s vision to life. The merch drop was announced on one of Sauce’s Twitch streams, and sold out on his merch website shortly after.
Design Variations
The key elements that were requested in this design were bold text, and Sauce being poured on an opponent. I opted for a classic Jet’s green color palette alongside a traditional hot sauce color. We tried multiple designs including featuring a full player on the ground, or only helmets. I played with the text and created multiple variations with different effects. Below are some of the design variations that were presented to Sauce before picking the final design for the merch drop.
